This is a known problem when using the Nokia E61 and the Nokia E71, but here is the solution:
To insert digits for activation-code and PIN-code in the Encap client you have to press and hold the function key and press the corresponding digit. The functionkey is the key down-left on the E71 qwerty keyboard.

Encap works very well on the Nokia E71! I use the Nokia E71 as well. See examples:

My wonderfull NOKIA E71 downloads ENCAP allright. It also dowloads other programmes such af FRING, and MP3s. So far so good. Your programme encap WORKS until I want to put in the activiation code. Then my Nokia e71 keyboard is locked, its a qwerty keyboard. I can enter “exit2 or “clear” nothing else.

Could it be a bug in your programmes acces to the E71 qwerty keyboard? All other programmes work brilliantly. BTW I use ENCAP for storebrand trnasanctions.
